CHRISTIAN DIOR By JOHN GALLIANO (“ESPRIT DE BOUDOIR” COLLECTION, SPRING-SUMMER 1998 READY-TO-WEAR) Long dress in absinthe-green silk chiffon, crafted and embroidered on the bias, embellished with Art Deco-inspired friezes in silver thread, asymmetrical sleeve on the right side embellished with champagne-colored fancy pearlescent beads, twisted cannetille strands with a pale gold patina accented by gold beads and rows of colored seed beads on a flesh-toned silk background, sleeve edge fringed with oblong pearl pendants, thin beaded strap on the left side, skirt hem forming a small train, silk crepe lining (approx.
